Looks like smooch-buddies Madonna and Britney Spears are buddies no more.

When the two locked lips on MTV, it made news around the world. Now, Madonna has reportedly dumped Spears because the “Oops I Did It Again” crooner has bailed on Kabbalah.

Madonna spent a great deal of time and money wooing the younger singer into the Kabbalah fold, and it worked for at least a while; Spears was spotted wearing the trendy religion’s trademark red string bracelet and toting around Kabbalah books.

But not long ago, Spears publicly ditched the mystical offshoot of Judaism, writing on her Web site: “I no longer study Kabbalah, my baby is my religion .”

Spears, who was raised a Baptist, has allegedly been consulting with a “Christian Life Coach” about her troubled marriage to Kevin Federline.

“Madonna spent months teaching Britney the Kabbalah system and splashed out thousands on the ancient scripture for her,” according to a source quoted by Virgin.net, which is further reporting that Madonna is demanding that Spears return the twelfth-century book on Kabbalah that she gave her as a wedding present.

Madonna’s rep had no comment by press time, but the source said: “She feels she has wasted time, money and precious gifts on Brit.”

OutKast still outcast?
Don’t hold your breath waiting for an OutKast concert.

The hip hop duo of Andre 3000 and Big Boi became household names with their 2003 hit “Hey Ya!” but refused to tour after their last album.

Now Andre, who is trying to make a name for himself as an actor, says he may never perform live again — even if royalty asks him to play.

“If the Queen of England called right now and said, ‘I want you to come perform ‘Hey Ya!’ for my son’s birthday, I couldn’t do it,” Andre told the upcoming issue of Vibe magazine. “I have moved on. Period.”

Notes from all over
Catholic officials are crowing over the return of Nicole Kidman into their fold. Tom Cruise’s ex dabbled in Scientology when she was married to the Top Gun star, but never fully embraced the controversial religion. Now, preparations for her wedding to country crooner Keith Urban have “helped guide her back to the Catholic Church,” according to the Catholic News Service. “For Nicole, you know this is a spiritual homecoming, coming back to the church and her faith in her old parish,” the service quoted Jesuit Father Paul Coleman as saying. It described Coleman as “a longtime friend of the Kidman family who advised them on the annulment of Kidman’s marriage with Tom Cruise.”  . . . Lindsay Lohan’s penchant for splashing out cash may actually do some good. The “Mean Girls” star attended a party thrown by Interview magazine where Cartier’s LOVE bracelets were being sold benefiting a charity. Lohan was given a bracelet for free, but took out an eyebrow pencil and marked off another four of the $475 bracelets she wanted to buy.  . . . Glamour magazine asked Uma Thurman for her advice about blue-jean fashion. “I’m really over looking at people squeezed into their jeans,” the star of My Super Ex Girlfriend  told the mag. “I don’t want to know that much about anybody.”
