Britney's problems are her own fault, says Avril

Avril Lavigne says that Britney Spears’ woes are Britney Spears’ fault: the recently rehabbed singer just isn’t tough enough for show biz.

“What’s happened to Britney is all down to who she is as a person,” the Sk8er Grrrl said, reports the London Sun. “If you want a piece of this business, you have to be able to deal with it. You can’t complain about the pressures, the paparazzi, the madness, because that’s the job.”

The 22-year-old admits that she likes the booze, but seems to disapprove of Spears’ widely reported visit to rehab, because, Lavigne says, she can handle her liquor and “no one really gets to know” about her drinking exploits.

The “Heartbreaker” singer visited a Mexican orphanage with her lawyer recently, according to gossips there, and is possibly interested in adopting one of the children.

Carey spent time at the Frank Gonzalez orphanage in Mexico, according to Carey fan sites, which quote a Latin-oriented radio program called “America Showbiz.”

Carey’s reps said they don’t comment on the singer’s personal life.
