Make an eggstravaganza Easter basket

Dylan Lauren, owner of Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York City, was invited on TODAY to show you how to make your very own Easter basket eggstravaganza — an over-the-top basket of sweets for the entire family. While Lauren, who is the daughter of fashion designer Ralph Lauren, gave you specific sweets to use in this design, feel free to go candy crazy and incorporate your favorite treats. Below are instructions:

Dylan Candy's Eggstravaganza Easter Basket

Tools and Materials

• 1 Pastel Wicker Basket
• 1 Piece of Corrugated
• Crinkle
• Large cello bag
• Ribbon
• Tape
• Scissors

Dylan's candy suggestions

• Spectrum Truffles
• Spring 3 Chocolate bar pack
• Easter chocolate fudge dipper
• Chinese Take Out boxes jelly beans
• ½ pound Easter candy corn
• 3 pieces Easter Oreos
• 6 ounces sitting foiled rabbit
• Plaid lemon bark
• 12 pices milk chocolate crate
• Chick in Egg sugar cookie
• Yellow truffle cone
• 4 ounces Easter Lolli
• 10-count Yellow Peeps
• Popcorn chocolate caramel crunch
• Carrot box filled with orange jelly beans
• 25 Flavor Signature Box Jelly Beans

Instructions
Step 1
Place corrugated in front of the handle of the wicker basket.
TIP: The corrugated should be no higher then the handle of the basket.

Step 2
Then fill the basket with crinkle front and back to the top of the basket.
TIP: Make sure that you have enough crinkle in your basket to support the weight of the candy. You can tell if you have enough crinkle by pushing down on the crinkle.  If it goes down you need to add more crinkle.

Step 3
Place the box of 25 Flavors of Signature Jelly Belly’s in the center of corrugated top.

Step 4
Place the Chocolate Fudge Dipper on the right of the Jelly Belly Box and the Dylan’s Candy Bar Spectrum Truffle Box on the left of the Jelly Belly box.

Step 5
Place the Chick in an Egg Sugar Cookie on the upper right side of the basket and the hand pulled lolli pop on the upper left hand side of the basket.
TIP: Make sure you do not hide all of the other fabulous candies SHOW THEM OFF TOO!

Step 6
Place the Dylan’s Candy Bar Chocolate Caramel Crunch Popcorn on the left hand side.
TIP: Fold down the top part of the popcorn bag. It should be under the hand pulled lolli pop.

Step 7
Place the Dylan’s Candy Bar 3 Bar Pack on the right side of the basket slightly tilted.
TIP: You should be able to see half of the cookie.

Step 8
Place the Carrot filled with Jelly Beans slightly off center of the Jelly Belly box, touching the bag of Dylan’s Candy Bar Chocolate Caramel Crunch Popcorn.

Step 9
Place the 3 Pack of Easter Oreos slightly in the center, but in between the Carrot and Dylan’s Candy Bar 3 Bar Pack.

Step 10
Take the Dylan’s Candy Bar Chinese Take Out Box and place it front and center of basket.
TIP: This way you will start to fill in the front of your basket.

Step 11
Place the Foiled Eggs in a Cartin slanted in front of the Dylan’s Candy Bar Chocolate Caramel Crunch Popcorn and then the Lemon Bark slanted in front of the Dylan’s Candy Bar 3 Bar Pack.

Step 12
Place the Dylan’s Candy Bar Almond flavored Truffle Cone in front of the Lemon Bark. Then place the non-par riel bulk bag in between the Dylan’s Candy Bar Almond flavored Truffle Cone and the Dylan’s Candy Bar Chinese Take Out Box. Then place the Chocolate bunny in front of the foiled egg in cartin and touching the Take Out container.

Step 13
Place your basket in side your large cello bag. Take both sides of the cello bag and pull to center of the basket and tie it together. Then tie you Easter color ribbon into a bow.
