My pet peeve has to be smokers who throw their nasty cigarette out the car window when they're done smoking. Pollute your own lungs if you must, but keep your poison in the car with you! There isn't a car made that doesn't have an ash tray. Use them people!

I have been a cashier for five 1/2 years now. My biggest pet peeve would be people talking on the cell phone while they are in line paying and they don't really say anything to you. It seems like the people that are talking on the phones are the people we usually have to wait for because they are not quite ready to pay or they have to find their money or card. Why can't some people who are talking just set the phone down just for a few moments or call them back? It will make things go easier and make the lines go faster.

It makes me furious when I see people who are obviously not disabled parking in a handicap parking spot! They are cheating the system!

I cannot stand when people chomp on their gum and pop it! I think it is rude and obnoxious! I really hate it when it is an employee of somewhere I am shopping or eating. I think it is unprofessional and should be against the rules!

My pet peeve, without a doubt, is people not throwing away the paper towels in the public restrooms. It's great they're washing their hands, but please, if the paper towel drops on the floor, why in the world can't you take one more second to pick it up and dispose of it properly. I don't get it.

Slow traffic in the fast lane. These people refuse to move over so that faster moving traffic can get around them. Even when they notice that they're leading a parade, they still won't move over as a courtesy to other drivers behind them.

My pet peeve is when I hear someone say, "I could care less." Iit just annoys me to no end. What they are actually saying is that they care about it somewhat. What they mean is "I couldn't care less". Then they mean that they care about something zero amount. Not at all —none. So, they couldn't care less, because it's not possible. I hear it all the time! In movies, on television, everywhere! Another big one is gum popping. This one is just out of control. Oh! It drives me insane!

I own a small business and it is very irritating when people call and don't say who they are. They'll ask "is Joe in?" but give no clue as to what they want. The first rule of making a phone call is to say who you are. Making friends with the person who answers the phone, receptionist or owner-gets best service.
