Paula Abdul is extremely disappointed in the new music video for “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow,” according to a source close to the “American Idol” judge.

“She doesn’t think it’s Heidi Montag-bad, but she’s still trying to pretend like it didn’t happen. If Randy (Jackson) wasn’t involved, she’d be more vocal about it, but she does appreciate the fact that he was involved,” said the source.

The video, pegged to Abdul’s first release in more than a decade, was supposed to launch her big comeback. “She’s really got stage fright and it’s taken her by surprise,” explained the source. “That’s why she had to pretape her Super Bowl spot.”

The net result could be an even softer-than-normal Abdul for the duration of “American Idol.” “She’s got new perspective on what the kids are going through. She’s going to go really easy on them.”

Vanessa Minnillo finally lands a new job
It’s seems like it’s been a long time coming, but Vanessa Minnillo, who left MTV only last year, is making progress in her acting career. In Touch is reporting that she’s set to start filming the film “Redefining Love.”

Slideshow: Celebrity Sightings “Acting is a different way to entertain people,” Nick Lachey’s girlfriend told the February issue of Vegas Magazine. “Most people know how to be themselves in front of the camera, but interpreting a character takes a lot. Once I get the role right, I’ll just feel it.”

Vanessa had a small role in “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.”

“10,000 B.C.” star is one to watch
Camilla Belle, who’s just 21, might not be a big name now, but she will be once the film “10,000 B.C.” hits theaters in March. Belle, who’s been known in the industry for years, plays the role of Evolet in the epic prehistoric film.

After that film, Belle spent three months in Hong Kong shooting the sci-fi thriller “Push” — which co-stars Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning and Djimon Hounsou — and shopping. She told Details, “Hong Kong girls have a genius sense of style. I came back to the States thinking no one here has any individuality. Or cute enough socks.”

Don’t look for her to set down roots in Hollywood though. Three years ago she was accepted into Columbia, and she plans to attend one day. “I’m still in the system!” she revealed in Details. “You know, if you don’t have a life, there’s really not much to pull from. Then you can’t tell what’s real or not. ... That’s my philosophy.”
