Why I Love Today

...(for what will be a 15 month tour) I turned to the Today show as a marker for the start of each new day. I get so excited each morning when I get to turn on the television and see all my Today show friends! Each morning they give me the top stories of the day, along with helpful advice from everything from cooking a meal, to buying a gift, to improving my health.

I gave birth to our first son just 3 weeks before my husband was scheduled to leave. Each day that I turn on the Today Show is when I am reminded to take pictures and video of our son and daughter to send to my husband. This ensures that he gets to watch them grow, even from Iraq.

I love you, Today Show!! Thanks for all you do for me. You are making this deployment bearable, by starting each day with a smile.
