The deal
Sailing the scenic Pacific coast is a fabulous way to spend a couple of days. So why not make an early-bird booking now for a fall cruise along the spectacular West Coast shorelines? We found a threesome of Pacific coast voyages, with Norwegian and Holland America, now starting at a spectacularly low $99!
Six-night Pacific coastal fall voyage
We scoured a stellar Pacific coastal option on CruisesOnly: a six-night sailing from Vancouver to Los Angeles that departs in September on Norwegian Star. This cruise regularly starts $599 but with this early-booking offer interior cabins have dropped in price to just $449. That means you’re saving $150 off rack rates! Oceanview cabins are also discounted, selling at only $649. Ports of call include Victoria in British Columbia; Astoria, Oregon; and San Francisco. The itinerary also covers one entire day at sea.
Dinner & dance cruise with Norwegian
How about a party cruise along the scenic Pacific shores? We recommend the Orbitz special for a dinner and dance sailing aboard Norwegian Star. On this one-night voyage, you’ll depart Seattle in the afternoon of September 20. After a fun night of sampling the many onboard restaurants, lounges and bars, you’ll wake up in Vancouver. Interior cabins for this experience sell at a discount of 38 percent, starting at just $99. Oceanview units cost $10 more; balconied rooms go for $129; while a suite can be yours for $169.
Holland America sail on Volendam
Another excellent quickie cruise is on sale by Vacation Outlet. A one-night Holland America sail from Vancouver to Seattle on September 21, aboard the elegant Volendam, is now on sale for just $129 in an interior cabin. Oceanview units go for $179; balconied staterooms sell for $279; and even luxurious suites are affordable for $479. The highlights of the ship, according to CruiseCritic.com are, “outstanding Pacific Northwest fare at Pinnacle Grill restaurant and large selection of popular deluxe suites and verandah suites.”
The dollars
The rates above are listed per person, based on double occupancy. The cost covers onboard accommodations, meals and entertainment, as well as port charges. You’ll just have to dish out extra for government taxes and fees, as well as any shore excursions you may decide to take.
The catch
Book soon, as these discounts won’t last!
