Why I Love Today
More from Anna Schultz - St. Paul, MN
...after my sister had her twins and I was there to help her as a sibling 'nanny' We would be up early in the morning and haggard from a long night of feeding and changing and soothing and almost like Today knew we needed an exotic diversion... Where In The World Is Matt Lauer proved to be just the ticket! This past cycle of Lauer-Travels inspired the very same reaction it did last year, and the year before that... My phone rang and I heard my sissy exclaim on the other end "WHERE IN THE WORLD IS STARTING!" I asked her, "When?!" "NEXT WEEK! GOTTA GO! LOVE YOU!" I knew exactly what that meant... Each morning it was a race to see who could call who first at 7:00 (CST) to sing the theme: "Where in the world-where in the world is Maaaaaatt Lauer?" to the other. We'd question and guess and have a laugh when the location was finally revealed and make early morning promises to eachother that "someday" we'd head to Amsterdam or Laos together. To be afforded those little mini-mental vacations with one of the most important women in my life, even if only vicarously thru Matt Lauer is a treasure to me. And that's why I love Today!
