If Jessica Simpson was hoping to be the most important thing in Tony Romo’s life, she’s bound to be disappointed. Life & Style reports the Dallas Cowboys quarterback is happy to be back with his best gal, but she takes a backseat to the game.

“Tony has decided to keep Jessica as his girl for now but when the season starts, the pressure is going to get tougher,” a pal revealed. “He’s really enjoyed his off-season — he’s had a lot of fun with Jessica — but now he’s going to have to be very focused. His teammates and coaches don’t want any distractions.”

Those expectations from others, as well as his own career goals, are why football always comes first for Tony, explained another insider.

“You have to understand, he likes Jessica, but football is his life,” the close source said. “If he thinks his coaches and teammates are taking him less seriously because of Jessica and the whole Simpson clan, she’ll be out.”

After their fallout last month, Jessica knows that, too. Now she’s employed a more laid-back approach to their romance — a no-push/no-problem plan.

“Jessica thinks Tony is the man of her dreams, so she’s learning to follow his timetable for the relationship,” said a Jessica insider. “She’s learning not to take it personally when he wants time off … she’s willing to do the relationship on his terms.”

Matthew and SJP’s son curious about smoking
Actors Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker have quite the talent legacy to pass on to their 5-year-old son, James. Unfortunately for the little guy, it seems like his folks are handing down their vices, too.

Slideshow: Celebrity Sightings “I used to smoke cigarettes, and I still do, lately,” Matthew told New York Magazine. “I gave that up a long time ago, but every now and then I will fall off for a week.” But just in case anyone assumed he was the big offender in the household, “The Producers” star pointed out “(Sarah is) worse than me on that.”

The family habit hasn’t gone by unnoticed by James, who Matthew says “is already curious,” adding, “He’ll see a cigarette butt and say, 'What is that? Why do people smoke?' I can just see the little budding gene of a smoker in there.”

Dish on the fly
A Neiman Marcus gift basket overflowing with all the onesies and tiny toys a baby could want was recently delivered to expectant mom Nicole Kidman, but the gift itself wasn’t as much of a surprise as the source. Star magazine reports it was none other than Katie Holmes who sent the goodies to Tom Cruise’s ex. “Katie wanted the best of everything in the basket,” a source said. “It cost over $2,000.” … Trouble for the Olsen twins? Apparently a low-key family feud prompted Mary-Kate and Ashley to go solo while promoting their new fashion label, Elizabeth and James. “All meetings for their clothing line, they will not do together,” an insider told the New York Post’s Page Six. “Something happened between them, and they haven't worked it out. It's been going on for a while.” … The ongoing speculation about Rihanna and Chris Brown’s relationship just took another turn. Though Rihanna long denied that the two were more than just friends, their recent public displays of affection put that to rest. But whatever it is between the two, it’s not love, according to the “Umbrella” singer. When Extra TV asked the 20-year-old if she felt that way about anyone, she insisted, “No, I’m not in love!”
