Newlywed woes for Mariah and Nick

They’re not quite two months into their marriage, but Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon already face trouble, reports Life & Style. Sources tell the magazine that Mariah’s diva demands could cause the pair to split.

“I give the marriage six months, tops,” said a source close to the singer. “I can’t see it lasting.”

The insider claims that the reason behind that gloom-and-doom prediction is Nick’s need to do everything for his diva bride. While Mariah likes being waited on hand and foot, that routine won’t work in the long run.

“Nick does whatever Mariah wants him to — he’s like her puppy,” the insider continued. “It seems like Nick spends more time in the stores with Mariah’s credit card than he does with Mariah herself.”

A source close to the groom doesn’t see the problem, insisting, “(Mariah) needs someone to dote on her.”

Not so, according to Mariah’s pal, who believes Nick needs to be his own man.

“Mariah’s assistants and friends call him ‘Whipped Nick’ behind his back,” the Mariah insider told Life & Style. “They have little respect for him because he won’t stand up for himself.”

Speidi wedding plans
Don’t expect a long wait for the Spencer Pratt-Heidi Montag nuptials. During a red-carpet chat at the Boost Mobile Rock Corps, Speidi promised E! Online the event will happen “very soon.”

“Just got to get a nice $2 million diamond,” Spencer said of his pre-wedding plans. That was just before Heidi reminded her best beau that her rock should really be worth a whole lot more. “It’s $10 million now?” he asked.

Indeed, but Heidi was quick to show her social consciousness by interrupting, “But no blood diamond!”

While they still need to sort out the when and where of their big day, rest assured, when the knot does get tied, you'll know.
