Love might be blind, but even smitten newlywed Mariah Carey can see that her husband Nick Cannon could use a little help getting a job.

“Mariah wants him to at least have the status that DJ AM had when he was dating Nicole Richie,” says a friend of the singer, who spoke to Life & Style magazine.

Cannon, who starred in “Drumline” and more recently “Roll Bounce” with fellow rapper Bow Wow, has been working DJ gigs lately but Carey thinks Cannon is capable of much bigger fame.

“She wants him to start modeling,” says the source. “She wants him to start meeting with well-known designers.”

Cannon reportedly is OK with Carey’s involvement in his career. “He’s not upset; he thinks it’s a great idea,” the source reports. “He knows Mariah wants him to become more famous.”

Heidi and Spencer’s trip to Iraq
The McCain camp isn’t confirming or denying that they’re helping “Hills” hellions Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt arrange a trip to Iraq, but there's a new twist in the plan that has yet to be addressed.

Slideshow: Celebrity Sightings Sources close to the couple say that Pratt is insisting, per usual, that they receive comped first-class plane tickets overseas.

"Spencer doesn't fly coach. Not even for short flights," says the source. "He isn't going to go overseas in coach, and definitely not on his own dime."

Nicole Kidman's back to pre-baby body
Nicole Kidman’s baby bump, or lack thereof, was as big a topic of conversation as her pregnancy itself, and now talk is shifting to Kidman’s already svelte figure. The actress, who gave birth to Sunday Rose on July 7, was photographed on July 20 with an impressively flat belly. “It doesn’t look normal,” Dr. Jonathan Herman, who doesn’t treat the actress, said to OK! magazine. “It doesn’t mean something is wrong, but we’d be worried she exercised too much and didn’t eat properly.”

Weekend box office prediction
Pity the films that are opening the week after “The Dark Knight.” Even though Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly both have respectable followings, there is no way their new comedy “Step Brothers” will top the latest in the Batman franchise. Same goes for “The X-Files: I Want To Believe.” The sci-fi thriller opens in 3,100 theaters, and even if every Mulder and Scully fan sees the film multiple times, “Dark Knight” will still sit atop the box office come Monday.
