LOS ANGELES — Though they reached a divorce settlement last July, legal problems between Christie Brinkley and her ex, Peter Cook, are heating up again.
Cook has asked a judge to issue a contempt of court order against Brinkley earlier this week over an incident involving their son Jack.
According to reports, in late November, Jack missed a school trip to Egypt. Cook had planned to travel with his son, but claims Brinkley stalled getting the boy's passport, leading the two to miss the international adventure.
“Jack missed the whole trip,” Cook’s lawyer, Steven Kuhn told Newsday. “Mr. Cook wishes that he didn’t have to go to court.”
Brinkley’s attorney, however, called the filing “petty.”
“Peter Cook somehow believes that the only way he can repair his image is to use the court and the media to make scurrilous claims about Christie Brinkley,” Brinkley’s attorney Peter R. Caronia said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
“His latest filing is unfounded, unwarranted and petty.”
