Liam Neeson has signed on for his first film since the death of his wife, Natasha Richardson.

Neeson will play Zeus in the remake of the 1980s film “Clash of the Titans, according to Variety.

Ralph Fiennes is also in talks to join the cast as Hades, the Greek mythology lord of the underworld.

The remake of “Clash of the Titans,” which starred Harry Hamlin as Perseus in the original 1981 film, also stars Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen and Sam Worthington (as Perseus).

Neeson recently wrapped production on his latest film, “Chloe,” which he was shooting when Richardson died following a ski accident near Montreal.

Several days removed from the actress’ death at the age of 45, Neeson returned to the set of “Chloe” in Toronto to finish filming his scenes.

Also upcoming for Neeson is the thriller “The Red Circle,” co-starring Orlando Bloom and Chow Yun-Fat. Production is slated to begin in the fall.
