SACRAMENTO, Calif. - KCRA.com
A father and mother are accused of child endangerment and drug possession after their two young daughters were found Monday night crying and wandering with no shirts in a Sacramento apartment complex, police said.
Jonathon Tyson Liberti, 33, and Antoinette Chavonne Liberti, 23, were taken to jail.
Jonathon Liberti is also accused of possessing drug paraphernia.
Police were called at 8:40 p.m. Monday to a complex in the 2000 block of San Juan Road in Natomas, according to a police report.
The girls -- ages 1 and 2 -- were found outside in the cold. No adults were found nearby, police said.
Police eventually located the girls' apartment.
Inside, officers found Jonathon Liberti. Police said it appeared he was under the influence of drugs.
Officers searched the apartment and found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, the report said.
The apartment was a mess and very little food was found, police added.
At short time later, Antoinette Liberti arrived. Police said she was in possession of methamphetamine.
The girls were taken into protective custody.
Bail for Antoinette Liberti was set at $75,000, while Jonathon Liberti's bail was $50,000.
