Dead body found floating in Newport Harbor

NEWPORT BEACH – The fully-clothed dead body of a 49-year-old man was found floating facedown this morning shortly before 7 in Newport Harbor, police said.

The man has been identified as a local resident, but officials are not releasing his identity until his family members have been notified, Newport Beach Police Sgt. Shontel Sherwood said.
