Long before Tiger Woods’ private life went public, with allegations of mistresses numbering in the double digits, friends warned him that he could be headed for trouble.

According to a report in the New York Daily News, the bad behavior behind the good guy image was common knowledge among Woods’ closest companions, but they just couldn’t make their pal see the problem.

“A lot of us who love him saw this coming,” a longtime friend revealed. “We said, 'You've got to be careful. It's really getting too raggedy.'”

While that seems a fairly obvious and understated warning in retrospect, the source believes the golf great simply didn’t understand.

“In his own mind, he may not have thought he was doing anything wrong,” the friend continued. “He was under a lot of pressure. He thought he was just letting off steam. He thought of it as a perk.”

Demi Moore may sue photographer over retouch talk
After daring to suggest that Demi Moore appeared poorly retouched on the December cover of W magazine, photographer Anthony Citrano has been asked to retract his statements or risk being “exposed to substantial liability.”

Slideshow: Celebrity Sightings Lawyers representing Moore sent Citrano a legal notice on Tuesday, accusing him of making “false and defamatory” comments about the photo in question. The letter included “unequivocal facts” to support the argument that the actress’ image was largely unaltered, such as a statement from the cover photographers.

“There was ABSOLUTELY no retouching on her hips or waist or legs!!” Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot wrote.

Not so, Citrano still insists. Ignoring the legalese, the lensman has decided to stand his ground and collect his own evidence online.

On-screen sex scenes have long been rare for actors over a certain age, but at 60-years-old, Meryl Streep has worked to reverse the trend in her most recent films. “Yes, at this age it’s unusual for somebody to do a love scene, to be making love,” the “It’s Complicated” star told The Times of London. “Yeah, that is unusual. But that is just how benighted we are. Because, you know, we still are alive. … It’s authentic. And it's not about being a celebrity — you get on MySpace, Facebook, there's all these different outlets where people can just feel like nobody's watching them so they can just say whatever they want to say.” And that, as Gomez pointed out, “gets dangerous sometimes.”
