Gosselin hard at work self-promoting in Utah

Jon Gosselin’s split from TLC might prevent him from appearing on other reality shows, but it doesn’t prevent him from promoting himself.

The press-happy dad of eight has been in Park City, Utah, for the Sundance Film Festival, and without any work of his own to promote, has been hitting up the gifting lounges. His plus one is Morgan Christie, his new girlfriend. (Sources at Sundance say he is staying at Christie’s house while he’s in Utah.) The two stopped by Talent Resource's Sky Suite Lounge where he participated in the Blanket America campaign to give blankets to poverty-stricken Americans.

You won’t see him in the PSA however: Gosselin had to decline because of his “issues with TLC.” A source familiar with Gosselin’s agreement with TLC said that he’s not prevented from doing PSAs, he just has to tell the network if he’s going to do appearances outside the network. “No one is trying to stop him from giving blankets to the poor. He just has to loop TLC into his plans. He wasn’t doing that, which is why he ran into trouble with the network.”

In other Gosselin at Sundance news, it appears the altitude might have brought on some sudden onset self-awareness. Gosselin was overheard on multiple occasions saying he was excited to pose in front of the poster for one opening film in particular: “Douchebags.”

“I can’t wait to take a picture in front of it,” Gosselin said.

Oprah trying for Conan, too
Slideshow: Celebrity Sightings Jay Leno is planning on sitting down with Oprah Winfrey for an interview that will air on Thursday, but if she has her way, Leno won’t be the only late-night host she meets with. Her show has put out a request for Conan O’Brien to do an interview as well.

A representative from “The Oprah Winfrey” show confirmed, “We have an offer out to Conan for a future date.” The representative’s statement clears up any rumors about Winfrey wanting O’Brien and Leno on the same show.

Will O’Brien do it? Several sources close to O’Brien say it’s quite unlikely. “Not a chance,” said one. “I highly doubt it,” said another, who added, “It’s clear what happened. He wants to move forward.”

Rumors of Jolie in New York exaggerated?
When news about a potential Brangelina split was breaking, it was reported by some outlets that Jolie was not in Los Angeles with Brad Pitt over the weekend because she doing a photo shoot in New York City for an upcoming cover of Vanity Fair.

If Jolie were in New York (there aren’t any photos that reveal she was), she wasn’t doing a project with the magazine. “Reports of an Angelina Jolie shoot for Vanity Fair this weekend are not true,” said a source with direct knowledge of the shoot schedule.

A rep for Vanity Fair said they don’t confirm or deny shoots for future issues.
