The actor told People magazine that a woman, whom he would not name, contacted an attorney and asked for money. She allegedly also said she would reach out to the press.

“I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with,” Borneaz told the magazine. “She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion.”

The FOX drama star also told PEOPLE that his marriage has been hit hard by his transgressions.

“Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities,” he said. “I was irresponsible.”

The actor, who has been married to Bergman for almost nine years, said he and his wife are now “working on repairing what has been damaged so badly.”

Last year, rumors surfaced in Star magazine and on PerezHilton.com that the actor had stepped out with Rachel Uchitel, a woman who was reportedly linked to Tiger Woods.
