Will Smith shines in 'Men in Black III'
Jackie Evancho, a Pittsburgh native, wowed the crowd with her rendition of Puccini's famous "O Mia Babbino Caro" on Tuesday night's "America's Got Talent."
The petite performer, who was invited to appear on the show after winning an "AGT" YouTube contest, packs a powerful punch with her shockingly mature voice.
Evancho, who describes her style as "classical crossover" (think Sarah Brightman) began singing at the age of seven after hearing music from "The Phantom of the Opera."
"AGT" judge Howie Mandel said it best when he proclaimed to an emotional Evancho following her explosive performance, "This is your moment, and you are the star!"
No word yet on what's next for Evancho as results from Tuesday night's show — and who gets through to the next round won't be revealed until Wednesday's results show. Evancho's website, however, notes she will perform at Carnegie Hall on Dec. 2.
