Snooki's hookup speaks!

Meet Jeff Miranda, a 24-year old Iraq war vet from Millstone, NJ who now works in video production. Miranda was photographed smooching the "Jersey Shore's" Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, 22, in Seaside Heights, NJ over the weekend, and spoke to UsMagazine.com about his fledgling romance with the pint-sized star.

The pair met last Friday, naturally, at Karma, the local nightclub often featured on MTV's reality hit. "We hit it off really, really good," Miranda tells Us. "Nicole is actually really cute and seems like a cool a** person, even though she's drunk most of the time. She's a real sweet girl."

Plus, Snooki is just his type. Miranda tells Us his "perfect girl" would be "short" and "with long hair."

After "dancing all night" and "talking back and forth," the two new friends went back to the famous beachside home Snooki shares with her Jersey Shore castmates. Miranda says they "had in-depth conversations about each other's lives, what our backgrounds were...It was almost like an instant connection," he gushes.

"The way the show depicts her and makes her seem is totally not her," Miranda insists. "She honestly has one of the biggest hearts...She is really not how everybody thinks she is."

After spending the night together, the couple "spent the whole day together" on the boardwalk, riding the rides, holding hands and "just kissing," he explains. He and Polizzi did their best to ignore gawking photographers and fans. "We just cared about me and her. It was just an amazing day!"

"Just kissing her was a rush," he cooes. "Her lips are matched perfectly to mine...I couldn't even explain it."

One hitch? "She got mad at me because of my tongue ring," he quips of his studded mouth jewelry. "It reminded her of [ex] Emilio. I took it out of my tongue and threw it out into the beach. I took it right out for her."

The two haven't spoken since the weekend, when pics of them together and wild rumors hit the web. But he's hopeful for a long-term romance. "I really hope it will be something that we can continue," he says. "I just want to be happy with this one girl, we had a great connection, everything went beautiful," Miranda says, adding that many have questioned his motives (he admits to filming an audition video for "Jersey Shore"). "I don't need somebody else's fame to make my fame."

"I just want a fair chance to see if anything really does come out of it," he says. "We were talking about this becoming a long-term thing. She wanted me to meet her dad, she said her mom would love me."

Miranda doesn't want their romance documented onscreen, though: "I'm going to tell her we can still see each other low key without anybody knowing, we won't do anything on footage," he tells Us. "When 'Jersey Shore' is done filming, we start it back up again full force."
