Rihanna OKs reducing Brown restraining order

Rihanna's ready to forgive and forget.

Just over two years after she was infamously assaulted by then-beau Chris Brown following a pre-Grammy bash, a lawyer for the "S&M" singer, 22, tells E! News that she has agreed to reduce the restraining order keeping him away from her.

The songbird has requested that the order be modified to a level one, which would allow them to have contact as long as Brown doesn't annoy, molest or harass her. Brown's attorney has been informed of her approval, but he has yet to go to court to have the order officially changed.

And while this means the twosome may soon come face-to-face, it won't be at this weekend's Grammy awards.

While Rihanna is set to perform at the show, the thrice-nominated Brown, 21, won't be attending due to a previous commitment.

When Brown — who pled guilty to a felony and accepted a plea deal that included more than 1,400 hours of community labor in addition to five years probation — last appeared in court January 28 for a progress report, the judge announced that he had finished his yearlong domestic violence class "in fine fashion."

The singer's attorney, Mark Geragos, also requested that the restraining order be dropped as it could present a "problem with award shows."
