Looking to unwind with a drink after a long week? Here, Naren Young, head bartender at Locanda Verde restaurant in New York City, shares his light and fruity drinks that will leave you refreshed and satisfied.

Recipe: Raspberry and rose Collins

Ingredients
  • 2 ounces Beefeater gin
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice (must be fresh)
  • 3/4 ounce simple syrup
  • 5 drops of rosewater
  • 5 fresh raspberries
Preparation

This super-easy and delicious cocktail is based on the classic Tom Collins, which has gin, lemon, sugar and soda.

Shake all very hard with ice. Strain on fresh ice. Top with soda water. Garnish with a lemon wedge and fresh raspberries. Add some more rosewater drops on top.

Recipe: Pimm's cup

Ingredients
  • 2 oz. Pimm's
  • Ginger beer
  • Sliced cucumber
  • Sliced lemon wheel
  • Strawberry slices
  • Mint
Preparation

Pour over lots of ice into a highball. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with sliced cucumber, lemon wheel, strawberry slices and mint.

Recipe: Elderflower fizz

Ingredients
  • 1 oz. Hendrick's gin
  • 1 oz. St Germain
  • Squeeze of fresh lime
Preparation

Stir on ice and strain into a flute glass. Top with sparkling wine (any Prosecco will do). Garnish with a lime wheel.

Recipe: White sangria

Ingredients
  • 1/2 oz. Absolut vodka
  • 1/2 oz. Appleton white rum
  • 1/2 oz. Cointreau
  • 1 oz. Ocean Spray white cranberry juice
  • 3 oz. Chardonnay (or any dry white wine)
Preparation

Pour over ice in a wine glass. Top with soda. Garnish with slices of green apple, green grapes, fresh thyme, kiwi wheel and lemon wheel.
