   >> russell armstrong , estranged husband of one of "the real housewives of beverly hills " was found dead tuesday. police released audio from the chilling 911 call moments after his body was discovered. a warning though, this call is disturbing to listen to.

   >> tell me exactly what happened.

   >> my friend just hanged himself , do you understand? come over here right now. stop asking questions.

   >> reporter: frantic pleas to police come from the friend of russell armstrong , the husband of " real housewives of beverly hills " taylor armstrong , found dead earlier this month. taylor was at the house when the body was discovered. the caller tries to comfort her as she sobs throughout the heartbreaking 911 call. lapd were called out to this upscale home where russell had been staying with a friend. russell had not responded to friends and family for three days before he was found.

   >> is it obvious death or is he -- did he just hang himself?

   >> yes.

   >> do you think he's beyond any help?

   >> no. there's nothing you can do. it's -- there's nothing we can do.

   >> reporter: russell and taylor armstrong 's frequent bickering was a big part of the drama throughout the first season. the couple had a 5-year-old daughter who was frequently seen on the show. the 911 call reveals that she was also in the home when her father's body was discovered.

   >> have her go away as soon as possible. the man's daughter is here, so we have to get her out of here.

   >> that's her dad?

   >> that's her dad.

   >> did she -- did she find him?

   >> she's fine. she's fine. she doesn't -- she doesn't know of it.

   >> reporter: in june tabloid photos show russell and taylor out in public and seemingly happy. but last month 40-year-old taylor filed for divorce to end their six-year marriage as russell was reportedly swimming in debt. regardless of the state of their marriage, there is no denying that taylor is absolutely devastated.

   >> armstrong 's untimely death raised many questions and concerns about the well being of people who expose their lives on reality tv . the producers of " real housewives of beverly hills " are now scrambling to reedit the show with the second season set to launch this coming monday. and the president of bravo media tell us they have taped interviews to address armstrong 's suicide. that will air before the premier.
