“We’ve written around it, and we’re getting ready to tape our season finale this week,” said NBC spokesman Jamie French.

The hour-long episode, which features a wedding in Las Vegas and a guest appearance by Jennifer Lopez, is set to air on April 29.

Messing, who won an Emmy for best actress in a comedy last year, stars opposite Eric McCormack in the show about a straight woman and her gay best friend.

The baby, due in summer, is the first for Messing and her husband, screenwriter Daniel Zelman.
