Fashion blogger and model Lauren Scruggs took her first vacation this weekend, a trip to Colorado with family and friends. And for the first time since her accident in December, she shared pictures of herself. The 23-year-old, who was fitted for a prosthetic left eye a little over a week ago, shared the photos via Twitter on Saturday.

Injured model Lauren Scruggs, with twin sister Brittany (right), tweeted out these photos, the first she's shared since her accident in December.

In the first image, she poses with twin sister Brittany, both bundled up and wearing sunglasses. “Such a fun weekend with sweet family and friends,” she wrote of the trip. In a second tweeted photo, Lauren is with a big group of family and friends at a ski-jumping competition in Steamboat Springs, Colo. Lauren's hair covers her left eye and a jacket covers her left arm. Scruggs lost her left eye and hand when she walked into a moving plane propeller.

The injured model is making a remarkable recovery from her devastating accident. Her mind is back on fashion both professionally and personally. She returned to writing her fashion blog, LoLo, last weekend and has been active on Twitter, even messaging a jeans company about a pair she lost in December. Lauren’s mom, Cheryl, had previously updated fans on her behalf on the website CaringBridge.org. The family is soliciting well-wishes and donations that site and at Lauren's blog.
