Restaurateur dishesdirt on stars

A top New York restaurateur spilled the beans on some of his famous clients.

Jeffrey Jah, an owner of celeb hot spot Lotus, was in Brazil tending to the branch of the restaurant in that country when he gave the lowdown on clients such as Tobey Maguire, Joaquin Phoenix, Naomi Campbell, Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.

Jah was asked by the publication Veja which celebrities drank too much. The restaurateur replied that he had to send Joaquin Phoenix home once and that Paris Hilton had to be carried home from her own party, according to our translator. When asked if anyone ever had to be booted from the Manhattan restaurant, Jah said Courtney Love. Also Mark Wahlberg — twice.

Jah also revealed that he nearly had altercations with Jay-Z and Puff Daddy. And he said that when Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were married, the couple once had a big fight in the kitchen and went home separately. Naomi Campbell, Puff Daddy and Paris Hilton don’t like to pay their checks, he claimed.

When asked who are the most annoying customers, our translator reports that Jah replied, “My friend Naomi Campbell always wants the best table, even if it’s already taken by other celebrities and she’s a drama queen. There are some who won’t be in the same VIP room, like Tobey Maguire, who will not sit near Joaquin Phoenix, or David Blaine, who won’t sit with David Copperfield.”

Jah didn’t return The Scoop’s calls for comment.

Taking care of business

Last week’s episode of “The Apprentice” is getting a lukewarm review — from Donald Trump himself.

The host of the reality show says he thinks the show was “good” but “relatively average” compared to some of the other episode.

“One of the reasons I felt this way is that the suspense in this session wasn’t the same as others,” opined The Donald. “Namely, Brian had to go .  . . . It was obvious from the beginning that his teammates just wouldn’t listen to him. He’s sort of a tough guy, abrasive as can be. In certain ways I think he’s going to be a big success into the feature. But for right now, it just didn’t happen.  . . . This could’ve been the shortest boardroom on record. But I decided to go into some of the other candidates and why it didn’t work. Still, when it was all said and done, I came right back to Brian, looked at him and said, ‘Brian, you’re fired.’”
