Is Paris Hilton getting cranky with Nicole Richie?

Richie is complaining to friends that she believes Hilton has been crank-calling her, according to a report.

“Nicole has been getting phony phone calls very late at night, practically every night, and she suspects the culprit is her ex-best friend,” reports the forthcoming issue of In Touch Weekly. “Nicole doesn't have proof, but she's almost sure it’s Paris,” a friend told the mag.

Reps for both denied the story, but, coincidentally, back when the two were still friends, they were accused of making unwanted calls to Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter, Aimee.

Model breakup
It’s officially over between Leonardo DiCaprio and Gisele Bundchen.

“Yes, they broke up,” the model’s manager told a Brazilian mag, according to our translator there.

She demurred when asked about buzz that Gisele is dating surfer Kelly Slater. “Gisele is not the type of a woman who ends a new relationship and starts a new one right away,” said the manager.

“Yeah, right,” scoffs our source. “I remember her [dating] DiCaprio as soon as she broke up with [Brazilian playboy Ricardo] Mansur three years ago.”

Notes from all over
Kevin Spacey has raised eyebrows by setting up a “hatch” in the stage door that he can reach through for autograph seekers at the Old Vic, the London theater where he’s artistic director. “Kevin loves it,” a source told the London Evening Standard. “He signs autographs between 10:30 pm and 10:45 pm. Not only does it make autograph-signing much less of a hassle but he also feels safer as he doesn’t have to open the stage door. But it does look odd.” . . .Nick Carter and Bai Ling are denying reports that they’re engaged. The denials come after a Chinese newspaper quoted the actress as saying that that they were planning to get married — comments her rep says she never made.  . . . Rod Stewart says that he just doesn’t understand why people would use cocaine nowadays, because, he says, blow is just not as good as it used to be. “It was different in my days because it was all so much purer,” the aging rocker told the London Mirror. “Now these dealers mix it with salt, washing-up powder, anything they can get their hands on. Kids just don’t know what they’re taking. It used to be a great novelty. Now it seems every Tom, Dick and Harry can get their hands on it because it’s become so widespread.”
